Skillstrain CCNP Certification » Cisco Networking » Cisco CCNP Testimonials
I recently finished a degree at university and wasn't sure where I wanted to go, a common problem for students. I ended unemployed for a while and really started to feel down. I decided to take up a certification course in IT after seeing SkillsTrain advertised. I decided to take the A+ and N+ and go on to take the CCNA. Was it a small achievement generally, I am proud to say that my accomplishment so far is not a small one. I have completed my A+ and N+ programmes. I am currently waiting for my password and username to reach me so that I could start off my CCNA. While studying with skill train college, I managed to get a certificate in mathematics with the Open University at the same time. I am proud to say that I will be rounding off my degree in ICT with the Open university by October this year. My programme with skill train really helped and is still helping me a great deal with my Open University programme. The skill train programme gave me a lifeline and a much desired hope. I am proud to say that I got a skilled work due to the experience I have gained so far from my skill train courses. My company have decided to enrol me on a work-based ICT course(NVQ level 2) because I passed the preliminary qualification test for the course. Maybe, all these achievements wouldn't have been possible if I didn't start my programme with skill train college. I am thinking of enrolling for further studies with skill train once I complete my CCNP programme. The flexibility of study and feedbacks from tutors has helped me a lot and I don't think I want to stop studying with the college yet. Recently I was diagnosed with Crohns disease I have had to adopt a new life style in every aspect of my life be it social, work and home. Dealing with the condition and being in and out of hospital often, made me put this course on the back burner but has made me believe that you have to deal with what life throws at you but also take the opportunities that are presented to you and make the most of them. I don't revel in sympathy, and as far as I'm concerned there are folks a lot worse off than me. You get out of life what you put in, so this course has given me a very real opportunity to prove that statement!! I have very recently passed my Comptia A Plus 2003 exams (220-301 & 220-302) and am still continuing with my course to aspire to next achieving Network Plus qualifications. This has come to fruition after a fairly tough few years for me, with having to endure several surgical operations on my arms, legs and hips following diagnosis of a rare bone cancer condition. This course has changed my perception towards life. I was into business earlier and very unfortunately had met with serious losses and had to quit the business. I had tried all possible options to find work but was unable to get any work with future or career prospective. I then started looking for an option that could give me a career which has growth prospects and I was willing to learn from scratch. In my quest for such an option, I came across the skills train training programme and made an enquiry. After a detailed discussion with the career advisor, I felt that this is the right option and this is the only way I could get my life back on track. But I was a bit indifferent and skeptical as to whether I will be able to undergo a studying phase at this stage of my life. But I was determined to do this and made an effort to study even though I had a bit of delay with the initial start up. I have been an end user of computer for a very long time but didn't know anything about how it works. On commencing the course, there were initial difficulties with concentration on the course work but eventually, with my determination and hard work, I improved and things got much easier. Now I find the course very interesting which is well reflected by the submission of my TMA's and the pace I'm to doing them. I think this achievement of mine have paved way in gaining my self confidence back, which has made things easy for me and plays a major role in motivating me to complete the course as soon as possible and to succeed in life. My level of concentration has also improved and I have proved that in active submission of my TMA's. Since I joined Skills train, I have achieved a lot. The best example which I could give is my own house. I wasn't that good on networking a few months before. But since I joined here, I was so much motivated to do something. The last couple of months have been particularly difficult for studying as my father has been ill in hospital after his lung collapsed. Although this is not the first time this has happened ,on this occasion he had severe complications and was transferred between two hospitals after his condition deteriorated. Travelling to visit him and also to help my mother whilst he was in hospital took up a lot of time but with the family's encouragement I managed to continue with my studies and maintained my 90 - 100 % result record. Dad is now on the way to a good recovery for which we are all very grateful. YESTERDAY (09/05/07) I WROTE MY COMPTIA N+ (N10-003) WHICH I PASSED. I AM VERY EXCITED AND MORE MOTIVATED THAN BEFORE, AND LOOKING FORWARD TO THE DAY I WILL BE SITTING MY CCNA EXAM. I AM VERY GREATFUL TO ALL THE NUMBERS OF THE TUTORIAL TEAM. WITHOUT YOUR ASSISTANCE I THINK I WOULD HAVE STRUNGLED. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK YOU ARE DOING. I left university with a degree which had no real career path and left me unemployed for several months resulting in depression with no real idea of what I wanted to do ith my life. I saw an advert on the internet for IT training through skills train and decided this May be the way to go. I would like to enter for student of the month as I think that for a forty something year old to start studying again after 20 odd years is good going. Particularly as it is something completely new to him. I am proof that you can teach an old dog new tricks!! Since passing the A+ I have gained a position within an IT department as first line support. My acheivments and skills within this position has been increased over the past month with the aid of the N+, it has given me a better understanding and wider knowledge base to aid users. I have recently been given a raise and this can be acredited to the hard work and extra research I have been completing around the current course material. Over the last few weeks I have taken on some extra work helping people with common PC problems (clearing viruses, connecting home Wire less networks, etc) I'm have just got a new better I.T job because prospective employers favour applicants who are studying with qualifications because they see an individual who is committed and ambitious. I think that fact that I am busy studying for my CCIE and MCSE helped me alot in gaining this new employment. I was working as a waiter at a Nepalese Restaurant, but I am not working there anymore, in fact I am working at an Electronics Company as a Technical Sales Advisor. It has been two weeks since I had started my new job and I’m doing great as well. I can’t believe it myself honestly. I went to the company and submitted my CV. I got a phone call for the interview and then got the job. I think they were totally impressed with the course that I am undertaking at Skillstrain which I had explained in my CV. That was the only things that worked for me to get that job......really what a difference it made to my life..........I am really happy about it.....and can't stop thinking what a difference it would make if I had completed the whole course of studies. Believe me I am feeling at the top ...feeling so good from inside ....if this is not achievement then what is this......I am very much thankful to my college for this change ...I think I can see my destiny now. I am feeling differently. Sincere thanks to my college.it.....and can't stop thinking what difference it would make if I had completed the whole course of studies.Believe me I am feeling at the top ...feeling so good from inside ....if this is not achievement then what is this......I am very much thankful to my college for this change ...I think I can see my destiny now. I am feeling myself in a different way. Sincere thanks to my college.
